How To Create a Themed Bridal Shower

If you have been following along, you know I’m a big fan of themes! Subtle or not, they can add so much to a wedding or bridal shower.

Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you, a fun tropical bridal shower from Orange Trunk Vintage Rentals….and I’m seriously gushing over it!

So how do you create a themed bridal shower you ask?

1 - Decor

At this shower, large ferns and wicker were staples that helped to create a tropical feel in a not so tropical climate. Bonus, you don’t have to take the girls away, you can create any atmosphere in your own city!

2 - Food/Drink

Cracked coconuts and fruity drinks set the tone for this festive event, topped off with a tropical style wedding cake. A styled bar cart with a stellar drink menu made the theme come alive.

3 - Dress

The bride and her bridesmaids were decked out in flirty pastel dresses to tie in the tropical theme. This is where your wedding guests can really start to have some fun with their outfits.

The key to executing any theme well, is commitment. Once you decide on the style you are going for, stick with it. It’s easy to get distracted by pretty things but if it doesn’t make sense with your theme, skip it, no matter how cute it might be. Do as these lovelies did and NAIL it!
