You just got engaged and have been busy dreaming up the most beautiful of weddings. You start out with one idea, one color, one piece of inspiration. From there it blossoms, you furiously pin pictures of wedding cakes, bouquets, table settings and color palettes. The theme evolves and before you know it, it’s nothing like initial idea you started out with….it’s SO much better! It’s all part of the wedding planning process.
When you go wedding dress shopping you often leave with something completely different than what you set out to find. And that’s ok!
A shining example of this creative process is the lavender fields styled wedding shoot from Adorn Wedding Invitations.
“It’s still funny to think that this shoot derived from a theme which included a colour palette of oxblood and a tatted-up raven-haired bride. As most brides will find on their own wedding day, the final look can often wander from the initial mood board, but it’s so important to let this process happen.” Says Katerina Vermes, Chief Stylist and Creative Director for the shoot.
This brooding forest themed day eventually evolved into a lilac fairytale. Crystal glasses, metallics, soft lavender and cow skulls embellished with lace and pearls completed this bohemian wedding look.
Sometimes where you start out and where you end up can be two very different places. Let it happen, it’s pure magic when it does.
